Invisible - Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-25
The short version
Invisible collects nothing. It sends nothing. Everything stays in your browser.
What Invisible does
Invisible injects custom HTTP headers into outgoing requests for domains you configure. That is all it does. Headers are added locally by the browser engine before the request leaves your machine.
Data collection
None. Invisible does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no registration, no usage tracking.
Network activity
Zero. Invisible never connects to any external server. There is no telemetry, no analytics, no update ping, no phone-home behavior of any kind. The extension is 100% offline.
Permissions
Invisible requests only the permissions required to modify HTTP headers:
- declarativeNetRequest: to inject headers into outgoing requests on domains you specify
- storage: to save your rules and profiles locally in your browser
That is the complete list. No access to page content, browsing history, or tabs.
Where your data lives
Your header rules, domain configurations, and named profiles are stored locally in chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device. If you uninstall the extension, this data is deleted automatically by Chrome.
Third-party services
None. Invisible has zero external dependencies at runtime. No CDN, no API, no cloud service.
Cookies and tracking
Invisible does not use cookies and does not track you in any way.
Supported browsers
Invisible works on Chrome, Edge, and Brave. This privacy policy applies equally to all supported browsers.
Changes to this policy
Any changes will be reflected in extension updates. The date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
